Students worked SO hard today. The first hour of the day was spent working on our Holocaust essays. Many finished their rough drafts and will start finalizing their good copies tomorrow. In math, we learned how to add integers using counters and diagrams. Tomorrow, we'll be learning more complex addition of integers using a number line an other tools.

In Language Arts today, we began working on our first essay of the year, comparing and contrasting three different stories connecting to World War II and the Jewish Holocaust. Students chose a topic and began brainstorming today, and tomorrow they will begin working on their rough draft of their essay. It's a challenging assignment but I think they're ready!
