I was away sick on Friday, so it was great to be back in the classroom today. I was so impressed when I arrived with how hard our students worked finishing our first bottle drive of the year on Friday. This week, we sort and send off the Bottle Depot. Special thanks to Mrs. Braun for donating her time and truck to help us collect all of the garbage bags.

This week is a big week. We’re continuing learning about algebraic expressions and variables in math. It represents a major shift in learning. All of the sudden, numbers can be represented by letters, and can change based on the question. We’re wrapping up our Writer’s Workshop with some dynamite descriptive writing. And we’re having a classroom pizza day on Friday. Notices to go home tomorrow.

At home this evening, students need to:

 ❏ Read for 20-30 minutes

❏ Complete Parent Survey (if you haven't already)

❏ Review FSA notices (See below if you haven't seen them)

❏ Writer's Workshop Rough Draft of Emotion Paragraph due Wednesday, October 9, 2019

Below are PDF's of the three notices to download if you need them. Click image to download.

See you tomorrow!
